This is relevant to you if you already have an Explorers of the Spirit save file from an earlier version.

THIS PART APPLIES TO ALL PLATFORMS - DOWNGRADING IS NOT SUPPORTED AND MAY CAUSE ISSUES!!

Any unlisted platforms have not been tested or researched.
Please report any issues in the EotS Discord - this is relatively new ground for all of us.	

* MelonDS:
	1) Apply the new EotS patch to a FRESH Explorers of Sky, NOT your previous EotS
	2) MelonDS stores hard saves in the same folder as the location of the .nds, as a .sav
	3) This .sav will be named the same as its corresponding .nds
	4) Rename your original EotS to something else and name the new EotS the same as your .sav
	5) MelonDS also supports loading a .dsv and convering it to a .sav
	6) MelonDS should now recognize your original EotS .sav as applying to the new .nds!

* Desmume:
	1) Apply the new EotS patch to a FRESH Explorers of Sky, NOT your previous EotS
	2) Desmume stores hard saves in the Battery folder as a .dsv
	3) This .dsv will be named the same as its corresponding .nds
	4) Rename your original EotS to something else and name the new EotS the same as your .dsv
	5) DO NOT remove the .dsv from the Battery folder at any point
	6) Desmume should now recognize your original EotS .dsv as applying to the new .nds!

* Original Hardware (DS/3DS):
	1) This is admittedly less thoroughly tested due to many process variances here, but:
	2) The principle is the same - new EotS and old save file need to have the same name
